Commitment to Precision
In a daily word game, precision is paramount. A single misstated vowel count, incorrect letter position, or confusing clue can disrupt a player’s solving strategy and spoil an otherwise enjoyable puzzle. Hintzo holds every daily clue, linguistic breakdown, pattern taxonomy entry, and archive record to rigorous factual standards.
Our Verification Process
Before any daily puzzle guide is approved for scheduled release, it undergoes a multi-step editorial check:
- Solution Cross-Check: The daily five-letter solution is confirmed against the official game release for that calendar date and puzzle number.
- Letter & Vowel Verification: Vowel count, consonant distribution, and repeat letter flags are algorithmically computed against our database of 14,855 playable words and human-verified by experienced editors.
- Clue Accuracy Review: Clues are reviewed across four progressive tiers to ensure definitions are fair, evocative, and strictly spoiler-safe without introducing ambiguity.
- Archive Consistency: When past puzzles are integrated into our Wordle Archive, date mappings, puzzle indices, and pattern tags are cross-referenced against our complete historical database.
Transparent Corrections Policy
Despite our stringent editorial controls, human typographical errors or technical discrepancies can occasionally occur. When an error is identified — whether discovered internally during post-publication review or reported by an observant reader — our policy is transparent and systematic:
- Editorial Review: Our editorial team reviews submitted inquiries and error reports promptly, typically within two to three business days.
- Swift Rectification: Once an error is confirmed, the inaccurate text or metadata is corrected immediately across all affected site pages.
- Transparent Disclosure: For substantive corrections (such as a corrected letter clue or adjusted difficulty rating), a clear editorial note is appended to the puzzle entry detailing what was updated.
- Database Synchronization: Any correction made to a daily hint is propagated across our archive and pattern databases to maintain historical integrity.
