Conformance Standard: WCAG 2.2 Level AA
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, motor, auditory, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Key Accessibility Features Implemented
1. High-Contrast Color Palettes
All body copy, headings, and interactive UI components maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against their backgrounds in both Light Mode and Dark Mode. Our Dark Mode palette uses high-contrast slate backgrounds (#0b1120 / #0f172a) and crisp white headings (#f8fafc) to prevent eye strain.
2. Full Keyboard Navigation
Every interactive element on Hintzo — including our single header theme toggle, navigation menus, progressive hint accordions, back-to-top button, and contact form — is fully operable via standard keyboard controls (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space). Interactive elements display distinct visual focus rings when selected.
3. Screen Reader Compatibility
- All meaningful icons and SVGs feature descriptive text or
aria-hidden="true"attributes for decorative elements. - Navigation landmarks (
header,main,nav,footer,aside) are properly labeled with ARIA attributes. - Breadcrumb navigation is encoded with Schema.org
BreadcrumbListmicrodata andaria-current="page"identifiers. - Our progressive hint reveal triggers use accessible state indicators (
aria-expandedand descriptive button labels).
4. Responsive & Text Zoom Support
Our website is built with flexible, responsive layouts. Text can be enlarged up to 200% using standard browser zoom controls without loss of content, clipped text, or horizontal scrolling.
